Funeral services for Richard “Wayne” Darnell, 56, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel of Monroe with Bishop Ted Coenan officiating and interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.<br />

Mr. Darnell was born on July 27, 1953 in Monroe, LA and passed away on March 8, 2010 in Monroe, LA.  He was a graduate of Wossman High School and was a retired construction worker.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He was well liked by everyone, known for his sense of humor, was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and loved golf.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents:  Earline W. McKissick, Arnold Webb, Willie Darnell and David Darnell.<br />

Mr. Darnell is survived by his daughters:  Chelsey and Corrie Darnell; mother:  Gloria W. Darnell, Father:  Dan Darnell and stepmother, Gerry Darnell; brothers:  Danny and David Darnell; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.<br />

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.<br />
